DS Group began by processing PP and PE resin domestically instead of importing finished film, producing its first output and laying the foundation for the network that followed.
1987
DS Group developed its own high-performance flexible film process, improving transparency and tensile strength enough to become a stable supplier to major São Paulo manufacturers.
1993
Automated equipment and multilayer co-extrusion more than doubled production capacity while improving durability and moisture resistance.
1998
A major expansion of the São Paulo plant, paired with a new logistics network, brought fast, reliable supply to industrial clients across the southeast.
2003
New hygiene and quality systems met ANVISA standards, opening the door to food and pharmaceutical packaging and diversifying the supply base.
2008
Partnerships with major distributors gave DS Group nationwide reach, and the business grew beyond manufacturing into precision slitting and custom supply solutions.
2012
DS Group began developing PCR-based films and high-barrier technology, building an environmentally focused product line ahead of the market.
2017
A corporate restructuring formally launched DS Plastic, with a new production base in Minas Gerais rounding out capacity. The same year, Shine International was founded to manage raw-material sourcing, trade, and tax structuring.
2018
As part of DS Plastic's diversification strategy, DS Group entered the K-Beauty market with a dedicated cosmetics entity focused on Brazil.
2019
DS da Amazônia was established in Manaus, combining southern manufacturing strength with the tax benefits of the ZFM free trade zone, and, the same year, DS Group began wholesaling resins and additives to other South American processors.
2020
CODAM tax incentives opened supply to major global appliance and beverage manufacturers in Manaus. DS Group also founded DSMADE to manage imports and local sales, and launched the KS Cosméticos online platform to reach consumers directly.
2021
A DSMADE office in Korea gave DS Group direct ties to Korean manufacturers and partners, strengthening the supply chain overall.
2022
Joining Brazil's CCEE free energy market and adopting a high-efficiency energy system improved the cost competitiveness of DS Group's manufacturing operations.
2024
DS Group expanded PCR-based packaging lines and rolled out full-process traceability across all facilities, aligning quality standards with ANVISA and FDA.
2025
Building on its B2C experience, DS Group expanded significantly into cosmetics wholesale and large-format distribution.
2026
DS Group completed a São Paulo–Minas Gerais–Manaus production and distribution network, cementing its position in South America's flexible materials market, while expanding Lumora to strengthen its footprint in beauty distribution.
